You can request deletion of your Grovidex account and the personal data linked to it, whether or not you still have the Grovidex app installed. This page explains how, and what happens to your data afterwards.
Deleting your account in the app (the main way)
The Grovidex app is the primary way to delete your account, because it can confirm your identity directly.
Open Account → Privacy & data → Delete my account. A recent sign-in is required; you may be asked to sign in again before the request is accepted. Once you confirm, the request is recorded immediately, and your sign-in sessions and registered devices are revoked straight away on every device.
If you cannot use the app
If you have uninstalled the app, cannot sign in, or would rather not use it, you can ask us to delete your account instead.
Email contact@grovidex.com with the subject Delete my Grovidex account, sent from the email address registered to your Grovidex account.
Please note: this email address is a support and contact route. Sending a message does not by itself delete anything, and it is not the same as the confirmed in-app deletion described above. Because deletion cannot be undone, we first check that the request genuinely comes from the account holder. We reply to the registered address to confirm, and deletion begins only after you confirm. A request we cannot verify, or one sent from a different address, is not actioned.
What happens to your data
- Account profile, saved addresses, notification records and support conversations need to be reviewed for deletion or anonymisation, subject to any necessary retained records. Recording a request does not itself complete this work.
- Your sign-in sessions and registered devices are revoked as soon as a deletion request is accepted, so the account can no longer be used.
- If you have orders still in progress, those must be delivered or cancelled first. The request requires further processing after those obligations close; this is not a guarantee of automatic erasure.
- What we keep. Invoices, order and payment records are retained for the period Indian tax and commerce law requires. Deletion of account access does not itself erase order records. The records retained and their continuing purpose need to be reviewed as part of the request, including any refund, dispute or fraud-prevention obligations.
- Razorpay handles payment authentication. Separately, Grovidex may store encrypted UPI IDs or bank details supplied as a cash-on-delivery refund destination, with masked order references. These details need a specific retention and deletion review; do not send us a UPI PIN, CVV or banking password. Provider-held records follow the applicable provider process.
How long it takes
Completion depends on identity verification, open obligations and the records that must be retained. Contact the address below for request status and information about retained records. This page does not promise a fixed completion time unsupported by the request workflow; applicable statutory deadlines still apply.
This is not an instant erasure, and we would rather say so plainly. Where you have orders still open, or where the law requires us to keep the records listed above, those parts are retained until that no longer applies.
Checking on a request
Because deletion signs you out everywhere, you will not be able to follow its progress inside the app afterwards. To ask where a request has got to, reply to our confirmation email, or write to contact@grovidex.com from the registered address.

Privacy requests are monitored by Sanjeev Kumar, Grovidex Privacy Operations Owner, through contact@grovidex.com. This is an internal operational role. App-controlled actions, legally retained records, provider-held data and backup copies are reviewed separately. We report provider deletion or backup expiry as completed only when supporting evidence is available. Until then, we explain the outstanding copies and restrictions in your request status; restricting account access does not itself erase those copies.
